A respected and well-established public accounting firm in Auburn, WA is looking for a dynamic GAAP and Tax CPA to join their 14-person team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with both assurance and tax experience and a background in a small to mid-sized public accounting firm. What You’ll be Doing…

• Preparing attest financial statements, including Reviews and Compilations
• Preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Supporting clients with QuickBooks setup and ongoing troubleshooting
• Rebuilding and cleaning up accounting records, reconciling balances, and solving “messy books”
• Advising business clients on accounting system improvements and best practices
• You'll work directly with business owners, delivering practical solutions with the support of a knowledgeable, down-to-earth team.

Here’s what your work history needs to show as evidence that you’re the right candidate…

• Licensed CPA (or CPA in progress)
• 4–7 years of public accounting experience with a strong mix of both GAAP and tax work
• Experience with Reviews, Compilations, and complex tax returns
• Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks and UltraTax experience preferred
• Familiarity with payroll and sales tax filings and research
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Background in construction or job costing is a plus

Here’s the important details:

• Location: Auburn, WA (Hybrid work arrangement possible)
• Salary Range: $80,000 – $105,000 depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including 9 paid holiday’s, 120 hours of PTO, continuing education expense reimbursement, medical and vision insurance, and a generous retirement plan.
